Myken Ocean Heart

Myken's first core whisky, Ocean Heart, has made the transition to the new 700 mL bottle.

Ocean Heart 25/1 edition is an unpeated whisky, made from malted barley, and matured in 200 liters ex-bourbon oak casks for 6 years or more. 

This edition is historic, as it is made from 2/3 Norwegian barley, the first Norwegian barley we were able to buy, back in 2019. About half of the whisky in this edition was finished for 6-12 months in several 30-, 40- and 50 L casks, both ex-sherry and ex-bourbon cask previously used for maturing Myken whisky.

NOSE Soft and delicate ex-bourbon matured aroma, butterscotch and vanilla, green apples and citrus, almonds, creamy.

PALATE Medium and creamy body, light and fruity. Red berries, slight oak and mild spices.

FINISH Medium long, darker edge and oaky chocolate. Spicy and slightly peppery aftertaste.
